Heather Barrett

Heather graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Boston University with an M.A. in Energy and Environmental Analysis and a B.A. in Environmental Science. She also spent a semester abroad studying Tropical Ecology with the Boston University Tropical Ecology Program in Ecuador.

Heather has a solid background in conducting biological and visual assessments on stream corridors throughout central New Jersey and has several years of experience in environmental education and public outreach. She is a certified Rain Garden Specialist and Trainer through the Rutgers Water Resources Program and a Project WET faciliator.

Heather served as the 2008-2009 Watershed Ambassador for the Lower Raritan, South River, and Lawrence Brook Watersheds (WMA 9) with the AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassadors Program. In her spare time, she volunteers with the Friends of Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge. Heather enjoys nature photography, pilates, hiking, kayaking, and scrapbooking.
