During the fall, information promoting riparian buffer programs will be mailed to all NJ municipalities by NRCS. This material was prepared by members the NRCS State Technical Committee's Outreach

subcommittee. and  is posted on the NRCS website at

Riparian buffers are effective ways to protect water resources, provide habitat and improve stream communities.   Restoring natural buffers that have been lost is an important step toward improving water quality, bank stability, and wildlife habitat.
