Watershed Stream School

Stony Brook- Millstone Watershed Association is hosting Stream School, a hands-on two-day class that will focus on macroinvertebrate identification. The Stroud Water Research Center will provide instruction on biological sampling techniques, physical and biological aspects of stream ecology, considerations for designing a biological monitoring program, macroinvertebrate identification, and data analysis. The Stroud Center’s staff is internationally acclaimed for its pioneering research on streams and rivers. This course is ideal for watershed associations, volunteer monitoring coordinators, municipal environmental commission members, and volunteer water quality monitors.
