Prepared on behalf of the Raritan Basin Watershed Alliance

The Rutgers Cooperative Extension Water Resources Program

The Rutgers Cooperative Extension Water Resources Program will be holding another training workshop on the Stream Visual Assessment Protocol (SVAP) on

May 11th, 2007

The flyer is available at our website:

The protocol is often used to monitor overall stream health and target

monitoring and restoration efforts in a watershed. Tim Dunne of The Natural

Resources Conservation Service and Co-Author of SVAP will be the instructor

along with staff from the Water Resources Program.

Volunteers from watershed associations in New Jersey are encouraged to

attend as well as students and anyone else wishing to assist with organized

waterway monitoring and restoration projects in the future. A background in

stream ecology is not required.

Please read the flyer and contact me if you are interested in attending. I

encourage you to forward this message to your interested colleagues.

Thanks,

Greg
